During Preps:

If there is one team of suppliers that I will not think twice of referring regardless of my friends’ status—it will be Cinemaworks. John Marvi’s works are comparable to Jason Magbanua, Bob Nicolas and Mayad Studios. They were Arnold’s choice and later on I realized they were my first choice too! I just did not know then they were Cinemaworks!

I was straight forward to John. I told him during our first meeting that I favor another videographer if not for the cost. John was not fazed. He struck me as someone who has strong confidence in his ability and output. I was impressed.

John or Wellen replies fast whether in emails or texts. They also give me definite answers to my queries and clarifications.

Also, during that first meeting they showed me their hearts. They told me that even though I booked early (late 2010) for 2012, whatever upgrade in equipment they will have before my wedding will benefit me come my wedding in 2012. My heart skipped a bit!

Wedding Day:

Cinemaworks was the third team of suppliers to arrive. I was very happy to see them because all the boys looked formal and handsome J Having John Marvi in our wedding team is like being with an old friend. I am at ease with him and his team as they shot us during the wedding and I have full trust and confidence in the things he asks us to do.

My greatest challenge was to make my groom cry. My groom is not quick to show his emotions. Up until the showing of the SDE I was wondering to myself whether or not Arnold cried during my walk, it was John Marvi’s SDE which gave me the answer and boy, it was just a sweet surprise. When I saw Arnold shedding tears, I was overcome by my own emotions and I sobbed through the rest of the SDE while it was being shown during the reception. What an awesome moment! John Marvi told a beautiful story about our wedding. The SDE captured and immortalized the beautiful details of the wedding and the amazing vow of my husband. Whenever I watch our SDE, I almost can’t believe it happened! Our wedding was really a dream come true.

These are some of the things I love about Cinemawork’s SDE:
1)      The story-telling;
2)      The details of the wedding aisle shown;
3)      The way John Marvi showed our invite and focused our names to identify our SDE (Notice that other SDEs have names of the bride and groom put by the videographer like Kate + Arnold);
4)      The build up before my walk;
5)      My bridal walk shot while I was coming down the stairs ( I had goose bumps when I saw it the first time);
6)      The way he captured both our “buntong hininga” moments during the bridal walk;
7)      The tearing groom which was a surprise to me; and the
8)      Wedding Vows with the people’s reactions being heard in the background.

Other good points about Cinemaworks:
They were not intrusive. You barely noticed them. He gave us immediately after the wedding reception our very own copy of our SDE!!! So during our mini-honeymoon, Arnold and I played to our hearts content the Cinemawork’s SDE and RF’s Fusion AVP. Even though the choice song is ours, Inevitable by Anberlin, we were very happy and satisfied with John Marvi’s interpretation of the song and the way he used the same to tell our wedding story.

Cinema Highlights: Because my supplier ratings came 7 months after I got married, we already received the Cinematic Highlight Version of our Wedding and I must say it was worth the wait! Cinemaworks gave us 2 additional videos: Cinema Highlights and Movie Version. Both videos are very good! The movie version was very gripping. It was as if it is happening all over again. The score of the videos is amazing! The songs were not cliché and never heard so it added a beautiful twist to our beautiful wedding!

Here is our SDE beautifully created by Cinemaworks :)

Wish: I wish there were more. Haha Since I was very impressed with the workmanship of Cinemaworks I am contemplating on getting a full documentary of our video. I think I am 90% sure I will request John Marvi for itJ Hubby was very impressed too so it will not be too hard I guess to convince him.
